Kate said:

“The process did not go I want to go—I think I expected not picky, it sounds stupid. But I don’t walk into a room, and show how it can be better; on the contrary, I went into a pottery, and I like, I like that. So, I think I will make cover just like it right away.

“Collins gave me this first one, it was beautiful, but forgotten. This is very difficult at first because I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. I lose sleep because I want to, it was hard work, and I don’t want to say I don’t like it. I had to know some of the boss’s energy.”

“And then they give me next, I have to ask why the bold, it is too far to swing in that direction.”

Kate Bell

“Then I started to Doodle, covering myself. I think that what I want? If I don’t like the second, and then it’s on me. A period of time, I think maybe we should have a picture of a woman, but then I think that the title really speaks for itself.”

Kate Bell

“I think this is a cool image. I looked up the artist—Amy Ross. She’s really beautiful work. I love for her to illustrate my next book!”

“Then I’m spitballing friends. My friend Candis Jones and I have been talking about the bad behavior of the men and five minutes later she sent me this, I just died. Sometimes you’re just in that mood.” (The background image is’Medusa’of Luciano Garbati)

“My other favorite is to attract my friend Mo six-year-old daughter. I really almost gave it to my editor. Everything about it, this is just perfect. I’m going to have it framed.”

Kate Bell

“When Harper Collins sent me the last designer Joanne O’neill has a painting of John Johnson—I immediately began to cry. This is exactly what I imagine. They reached into my brain! It speaks of the tone of the poem, it is women rather than weak, I really like. It is so beautiful.”
