Canada the Calgary Zoo will be returned two pandas of the loan from the state because of the lack of flights due to the COVID-19 cause the problem to get enough of the delicious fresh bamboo to feed their huge appetite.
Giant Panda Er CIS and Da Mao first arrived in the zoo in 2018, after spending five years living in the Toronto Zoo and should be kept in Alberta until 2023.
Uh CIS and up to gross the original was born in Chongqing Zoo for a year, except between 2007 and 2008. Uh, shun–the oldest–is named for her sleek, and the name OVO means”first of Mao Zedong”, because he is his mother’s eldest son.

More than half a Panda day to eat bamboo, which constitute 99%of the diet. An adult Panda will consumption of 38 kg, or about 84 pounds of bamboo a day.
The zoo’s President, Clement Lanthier, told the AP on Thursday, the facility spent months trying to overcome transport obstacles in obtaining fresh bamboo in the global pandemic. Bamboo is rare in Canada and Er CIS and Da Mao prefer only certain types.
“They are picky,”Lanthier said. “There’s a reason why they are on the verge of extinction. They need their bamboo. This is what they do. They eat bamboo and they sleep.”
Transport bamboo from California added even more frustration to the process. “Every 10 days there are more and more problems moving bamboo Calgary. This risk is unacceptable,”Lanthier said.
“I can’t risk not be able to provide the best care to the pandas every day. For other species there are options. Panda, it must be a fresh delivery twice a week. This is the time of the Panda home,”he said.
Lanthier also reported that the message came a bit of a shock to the Chinese government. In other locations where the pandas show-such as France, Spain and different parts of Asia–the bamboo can grow.
Panda has been one of the biggest draws at the Calgary Zoo.

Although there is no date in the calendar, the pandas will return home, Lanthier hope that it will happen in the next few weeks. He hopes to obtain export licenses.
“I hope they act quickly. We need to move them to a place where bamboo is abundant,”he said.
